It has been over a year since the first compilation meeting of the Home Textiles Branch of the Encyclopedia of China (Third Edition) was held on August 10, 2016. Through the efforts of all the experts on the editorial committee for a year, on October 21, 2017, After the successful holding of the China Home Textile Conference, the final review meeting of the home textile branch entries of the "Encyclopedia of China" (Third Edition) was held in Tongxiang. Nearly 40 people from the China Home Textile Association, the Full book publishing house of the Encyclopedia of China, research institutions, art colleges and universities, as well as representatives of influential enterprises in the industry attended the meeting. Zhu Xiaohong, vice president of the China Home Textile Association, presided over the meeting.
The compilation of the Home Textile branch of the "Encyclopedia of China" (Third Edition) was led and organized by the China Home Textile Association. Yang Zhaohua, vice president of the China National Textile and Apparel Council and president of the China Home Textile Association, served as the chief editor of the Home Textile branch, and Wang Guohe, a professor from the School of Textile and Clothing Engineering of Soochow University, was the deputy chief editor.
At the beginning of this meeting, Cheng Lihua, a senior editor and reviewer from the Encyclopedia of China Publishing House, put forward some editorial and review opinions on the final review materials of the home textile branch entries of the Encyclopedia of China (Third Edition), mainly providing detailed explanations on standardizing the writing format and the language used in the entries. The experts exchanged and discussed some opinions and suggestions put forward by Cheng Lihua.
Wang Guohe stated that the compilation and writing of the entry have been completed. After the last review meeting, many adjustments have been made to the entry. At this meeting, the editorial and review teachers from the Encyclopedia of China Publishing House put forward many pertinent opinions and practical suggestions. It is believed that after discussion and revision, the content of the home textile branch will be more standardized and rigorous.
Yang Zhaohua expressed his sincere gratitude to all the experts for taking the time out of their busy schedules to participate in the compilation of the "Encyclopedia of China" (Third Edition). The achievements made so far are inseparable from the efforts of each and every one of them. At this final review meeting, everyone raised some practical issues that emerged during the editing and review process. Some of them were very detailed, even down to every word and every character. This spirit is worth learning from for all of us in the home textile industry. The formulation of the encyclopedia is a public welfare activity. The China Home Textile Association will spare no effort to complete this glorious task that benefits the present and future generations.
Finally, in order to further and refine the improvement work of the discussion entries, the meeting adopted the form of group discussions. The entire meeting was filled with a warm and harmonious atmosphere.
